What Schools and Parishes Are Saying
"Thank you, NET, for your continuing work with youth for youth. The spread of Catholic ideals and principles is an important mission. We need good examples, great witnesses, and strong messages from vibrant individuals who are on fire in faith."- Parent
"All reviews were excellent. Please come yearly — your retreats are awesome."
- School Principal
"I wanted to tell you that I have never had a group of students so impressed until now. Your retreat ‘wowed’ them. All the teaching staff that were there were extremely impressed with the entire run of the day, from the organization, activities, prayertime, Mass, etc. They were clearly impressed with the team and they really communicated well at the kids’ level. I am sure it is something they will remember forever."
- ON, Teacher
"The NET team does wonderful work. Their witness to Christ’s Gospel message was exceptional and contagious among our students. When working with children, the way the message is presented as important as the message itself. The NET team uses this gift effectively."
- BC, School Principal!
"What a remarkable group of young people! Our youth adored them. Personally, I cannot express in words how the NET team has impacted my own life. My husband and I will be going to a marriage encounter weekend as a result. As a family we could not stop talking about the retreat. The team members are fantastic role models for our children."
- AB, School Principal
"There was an obvious change in our youth after NET… It touches my heart so much to see that the NET retreat affected them so much. They really experienced God’s love and that’s the whole point!"
- Youth Minister
"Keep up the AMAZING work! We are hoping to have the team in our diocese for a longer period of time in future years. (Our schools) were ready to book them ‘for life’."
- Youth Minister
"Even though our son had been raised in the faith, in a vibrant parish with lively Sunday Masses, he was bored with Mass. Just at the time in his life when he could make his family's faith his own, he was ready to pack it in. Then along came LIFETEEN. Our son now sits in the front row of church with the other teens. He sings and participates in Mass, and enjoys the homilies. He feels welcomed, cared for, loved and special. For the first time in his life has a circle of good friends. The changes have been flowing into his personal life. He has become more responsible around home, and more aware of how his behaviour impacts those around him. His self-esteem has been enhanced as he has discovered — through NET — that he is loved by God. He has become bolder in sharing his faith with kids at school and feels free to talk about chastity with his peers. He's become an active member in a number of youth ministry programs. It is all quite amazing.
Over the past couple of months he has brought two friends to Mass. One of them had not been to a Catholic church in five years. She went to Confession at LIFETEEN and now comes to Mass each week. While driving them to Mass one evening, I asked her how she liked LIFETEEN, and she said she's never been happier. She has had a rather difficult life, and I was really touched by her answer.
This friend later brought another friend who had also not been to church for four or five years. The ripple effect is really remarkable, and I am so thrilled to watch God work in the lives of these kids. May God continue this good work that He has begun in the lives of these teens and their friends."
