Alumni

Hello to all my fellow alumni,

I hope and pray that you all are doing well and that the light of Christ is shining brightly in your life. As some of you know I'm going into my third year as Recruiting Coordinator. As I look forward to this upcoming year I'm very excited about the prospects of growing from the obstacles and successes that the previous years have presented and on building on the successes of the past as last year was the best Recruiting year ever in the history of NET Ministries of Canada. I attribute the success of the recruiting department to lots of prayer, phone calls, emails, more prayer and more phone calls and emails and, no doubt about it, alumni like you who came through for us especially when it counted.

And so we begin another year of recruitment that will allow youth and young adults across our nation to be invited to know Christ. As the ministry grows the more help we need in sharing this great opportunity, to serve the church, with others. I realize my limitations with me being only one person in the office but with the help of a few hundred alumni throughout the world, the task doesn't seem as daunting. This year we will be looking 75-80 recruits.

And so to encourage you in this endeavour, we have come up with a contest called "Corey's Recruiting Contest" (cue the fun music or "Ain't no party like A Catholic party..." ). All the alumni will be divided into different dioceses who will be competing with each other to get points. Points are earned each time you encourage someone from your diocese in recruiting. They are assigned as follows:

1 POINT - For every application request received online from your diocese
3 POINTS - For every completed application we receive
5 POINTS - For every person who attends an interview weekend
10 POINTS - For every person who is accepted on NET

This contest begins when recruiting season starts ... which is NOW. The diocese with the most points will get a prize to be announced at a later date ... and of course bragging rights.

I want to thank each and everyone of you for your continued support and encouragement. Just like you, I would love to see recruiting flourish not because it's my job but because it means that more souls can be brought to the Kingdom of God. Let us "Go Big" so that others may "Go Home".

So remember to enjoy and have fun with the contest and let us joyfully, peacefully and lovingly spread the good news. Amen!!!! Amen!!!

Keep on rocking in God's world!!!
Your brother in Christ, always,
Corey (Black Lightning) Jolly

P.S. Please use Facebook, email and any other avenue you can use to help us spread the news. Thank you all so much once again!!!!
