NET Teams - Living Out the Mission

                            The 2007-2008 NET Teams

The mission of a NET team is to proclaim a basic Gospel message to youth and to invite young people to place Christ first in their lives through a Christian witness. The faith of the NET teams gives a powerful witness to youth that God loves them and has a plan for their lives.

NET teams minister in parishes and schools across the country. The teams conduct retreats in varying length, format and theme. Each NET team combines a fun, high-energy experience with a straightforward presentation of the Gospel.

They also start youth ministry programs in churches through the sacrament of the Eucharist. Team members proclaim the Gospel through large groups talks, small group discussions, music, drama, and personal faith sharings. Each youth is given the opportunity to respond to Christ in prayer and/or the Sacraments of Holy Eucharist and Reconciliation.

We also facilitate presentations for families, university students, and at conferences.

I'm Garth, the Program Director for NET Canada.  I oversee all facets of the ministry directly related to the teams: training, supervising the retreat teams and parish teams, scheduling, and recruiting.  If you have questions about our teams, email me at garth@netcanada.ca.  You can also directly contact the coordinators of the program departments on the contact us page.
