“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit"  Matthew 28:19-20

P1050646 Western Canada staffThe need for hope, faith and love in our society is large, especially among youth. It’s easy to be discouraged. But don’t! Thankfully, we can all be encouraged by the response of ordinary Canadians who won’t accept sitting idly by.  Because of this – the prayers and financial contributions of thousands – NET Canada continues the work of evangelizing our culture, day in and day out.

We are happy to announce the opening of two new mission offices in Western Canada and Quebec. It’s a true blessing and joy to know that even amidst growing secularism, Canadians are showing an endless longing for the message of hope and mercy of Jesus Christ.

On the one hand, the reflection on “jumping” into these new waters was a complex one. The decision, on the other hand, was easy. We felt comfortable because we had listened to many of you – our stakeholders. The feedback from our consultations and casual focus groups was unanimous: even though our missionaries already travelled a great distance to spread the Good News, local offices  – spread out across provinces – would allow us to better serve the spiritual needs of Canadian youth.  Shortly after gathering this feedback, the establishment of new offices became a key part of NET’s 5-year Strategic Plan.
