Gabriel Fortune, Whangarei, New Zealand

Kia Ora!

My name is Gabriel Fortune and I am from Whangarei, New Zealand. My top three loves are Jesus, music and movies. My absolute favorite movie in the world is Hunt for the Wilderpeople (if you like New Zealand accents in particular, this movie has heaps). I also enjoy board games and playing guitar.

So, in 2018, my journey with NET started in Australia where I served as a missionary for NET Australia then in early 2020, I literally went to this corner of the world to proclaim the good news as a missionary for NET Canada! I then served on mission staff as a team supervisor during the pandemic and then landed in the East Coast of Canada serving on the Tri-Parish team in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Now, I am currently stationed this year on the Vancouver Team!

The main thing that drove me to discern another year of serving on the road is to use my charisms and talents to glorify God and to help young people journey with their faith especially through this pandemic. I’m pretty excited to get busy and get connected with the young people in the community that I am in and hopefully bring them closer to Christ!

Now, to carry out the mission, I invite you to be a co-missionary with me. This can be done spiritually by praying for us as a team as we navigate ways to minister to the youth this year or praying for the young people that we encounter. You can also choose if you wish to support the mission financially by donating. If you donate $50 or more, or support me monthly, you will receive letters from myself as well as a quarterly newsletter from NET Canada!

Thank you so much for visiting my page and considering supporting me with my fundraising! Please be assured of my thoughts and prayers! May God bless you and keep you!
