Hello,
My name is John McCormick and I am from Woodstock, Ontario. I have six siblings and two nephews and I was homeschooled growing up. I am currently in my second year studying Civil Engineering at the University of Waterloo. In my free time, I love playing sports and going to the gym, especially hockey and basketball.
If you had asked me a year ago if I saw myself becoming a missionary, I would have said not a chance! But God works in amazing ways. Over the past year, I began feeling a deep desire to do more meaningful work, and during Riseup, a Catholic young adult conference over New Year’s, I felt God clearly calling me by name to become a missionary.
I chose NET Ministries because in high school I saw how many of my classmates were lost and hurting without knowing Jesus, and I want to help bring His love to young people. While not everyone can serve as a missionary, you can be part of this mission through your financial support. My NET year would not be possible without the generosity of others, and I would be so grateful if you would consider supporting me.
If you donate $50 or more, or choose to donate monthly, you will receive a NET newsletter and personal updates from me throughout the year so you can see how your support is helping bring youth closer to Jesus.
God bless,
John
