My name is Bernadette Wallace and my hometown is Kansas City, USA. I am 19 years old and I served with NET USA last year in California. It was an amazing experience to serve the youth there and to witness the incredible ways God moved in the hearts of so many young people. I am thrilled to be a part of this beautiful mission again, but in a different place in the world!
I decided to serve with NET Canada this year because I loved my NET year in the U.S. and I wanted to branch out and spread the gospel in another country. I am currently on the Ottawa discipleship team, which means that my team and I spend half our time serving in a local parish by helping with the youth groups and journeying with the young people there as they grow in their faith. The other half of our time is spent serving within the archdiocese by visiting schools, planning and leading youth nights, and helping out in any ways that we are needed. So far it has been beautiful to accompany the youth and to experience Canadian culture, especially Tim Hortons!
As a NET missionary I need to fundraise at least $10,000 in Canadian currency, which converts to about $7,260 in US money. I would be so grateful to anyone who is willing and able to support me financially. Anyone who donates $50 or more, or donates monthly, will receive a NET newsletter and personal updates throughout the year! I will pray for you, and please keep me in your prayers as well.
Thank you and God bless you!
