Hey there! Thanks for being here! My name is Mariah, and I’m from a tiny town called Chipman in Alberta (fun fact: it’s known for the largest main street car show in all of Alberta! I know, crazy). I’m the ninth child of ten and the ninth ‘M’ name of ten! I love to crochet, hike, spend quality time with family and friends, and I’m always ready to take anyone down in a game of Dutch Blitz!

I’ve always wanted to do some sort of youth ministry, particularly after seeing the fruits in my brother after his year on NET, as well as being involved in multiple events with both Face-to-Face and Pure Witness in Alberta and Saskatchewan over the past few years. Search Retreats have also played a huge part in my life for the past few years – from simply helping, to being an MC, it’s been SUCH a blessing to cultivate relationships and see Christ transform lives. I’m so excited to have the opportunity to grow even more in my faith and to serve this year as a NET Missionary.

This year I’ve had the privilege to join NET’s traveling retreat team! This means our team is going coast to coast this year from PEI all the way to BC, putting on retreats for our youth of Canada. It’s been such an honour to be able to personally walk with the youth under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and take the next step in their relationship with Christ. My team has been such a blessing in my life. I thank God every day for the new friendships I’ve been blessed with and the beautiful and uplifting community that’s come with it. I’m so excited to travel the country as well as grow in my own relationship with Christ and dance in the field of His freedom. I feel truly blessed to be able to give a year of my life to serve the frontlines of NET’s mission, re-engaging young people in their Catholic faith.
