Hey there! Thanks for being here! My name is Mariah, and I’m from a tiny town called Chipman in Alberta (fun fact: it’s known for the largest main street car show in all of Alberta! I know, crazy). I’m the ninth child of ten and the ninth ‘M’ name of ten! I love to crochet, hike, spend quality time with family and friends, and I’m always ready to take anyone down in a game of Dutch Blitz!
I’ve always wanted to do some sort of youth ministry, particularly after seeing the fruits in my brother after his year on NET, as well as being involved in multiple events with both Face-to-Face and Pure Witness in Alberta and Saskatchewan over the past few years. Search Retreats have also played a huge part in my life for the past few years – from simply helping, to being an MC, it’s been SUCH a blessing to cultivate relationships and see Christ transform lives. I’m so excited to have the opportunity to grow even more in my faith and to serve this year as a NET Missionary.
I feel truly blessed to be able to give a year of my life to serve the frontlines of NET’s mission, re-engaging young people in their Catholic faith. This mission, however, is only possible through the prayer and generosity of people like you. If you’re reading this, I’d like to invite you to prayerfully consider becoming a ‘co-missionary’ with me, contributing whatever you can to my fundraising goal of $8,500. Signing up for a monthly donation, or giving a one-time gift, all helps! If you donate $50 or more or sign up for a monthly donation (however small or big 🙂 ), you’ll receive a NET newsletter and personal updates from me throughout the year.
Please pray for me and my (future) teammates as we head into training and begin our mission. Your financial support, but also your prayers, are truly so appreciated.
God bless,
Mariah
