We, Retreat Team 1, have had an incredible month of new adventures! After wrapping up our time in Saskatchewan, we began making our way North-West toward BC and Yukon! This month has been full of travel, new places, and new faces as we entered British Columbia and started getting ready for what was ahead in Yukon. God has been so present in every step of the journey.

As we arrived in BC, we jumped right back into ministry. We’ve continued leading retreats, meeting amazing young people, and witnessing how the Lord is moving in their hearts. It’s been such a gift to see how different each group is, yet how deeply each one is longing for truth. One moment that stood out this month was during a retreat, when a youth said she felt like Jesus was sitting right next to her during prayer time. She also said that she felt like she was on a bridge and that she was on one side and God was on the other. And today she had taken two steps towards God. Moments like that remind us why this mission is so important.

With all the travel this month, we’ve had a lot of time in the van together. Long drives can be tiring, but they’ve also been filled with laughter, music, deep conversations, and a crazy amount of food. There’s something really fun about the in-between moments, the time spent journeying from place to place that has brought us closer together as a team. It reminds us that God is not only present in the big moments of ministry, but also in the quiet, ordinary ones.

This season of travel has also reminded us of what it means to trust. Not always knowing what’s ahead, where exactly we’ll be, or what each day will look like can be challenging. But in that, there is an invitation to rely more fully on the Lord. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

As we look ahead, we’re excited to continue our journey, heading back from Yukon to BC! We’re excited for all that God has in store for us, and we’re ready to serve wherever He leads us next.
